Bulgarian Editor & Proofreader for a Memoir (Native Bulgarian ONLY)

I am looking for a native Bulgarian editor and proofreader for a literary memoir written in Bulgarian.

IMPORTANT: The entire manuscript is in Bulgarian. Applications from non-native Bulgarian speakers will not be considered.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

A personal memoir of approximately 22,000 words (75-90 pages). The story follows a girl from a small Bulgarian town who loses her father at fourteen, works night shifts at fifteen, and builds a career across Spain, Asia and the Caribbean. The manuscript is drafted; the final section is being written now.

WHAT I NEED

• Developmental edit: structure, pacing, repetition, consistency

• Line edit: style, rhythm, clarity

• Proofreading: Bulgarian spelling, punctuation, grammar

I am open to hiring one person for all three stages or separate specialists.

REQUIREMENTS

• Native Bulgarian speaker

• Previous experience editing books, ideally literary non-fiction or memoir

• Able to give honest, direct feedback
