News monitoring website Overview The website is usable with or without login. The users save the searches in so called “agents”. Sending daily emails. Detail Not logged website We have search in the archive. There are the following main categories: Swedish/International/Custom after the main search is made you can filter by: news/blogs/view/twitter or just see all the results If the user wants to save his search as an agent he clicks save and if he is logged in he is offered to save the agent, else he is offered to register or log in. Logged Website The users can make accounts. The users could make accounts via Facebook/Yahoo/Facebook/Wordpress via RPX login. Short agents view The users see their agents and can manage them. Its like a widget. The last 24hours results are listed in the box near each agent. Agent view The agents is presented like a search result. Presenting the results The links to the search results will go to a custom frame page. All the search results pages should have paging with numbers and ability to sort by relevance/date time Sending the mail digests Cron based an emails should be send with all the agents with new articles. You have to store to which date you have already send the mails. The searching & the data We have Rails2 application so this application will use it directly. Also we have lucene based search engine with already build indexes.The users and the agents tables are already defined.
