Chief Accountant with English Language

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Accountant to support and oversee the company’s accounting operations both locally in Varna, Bulgaria and internationally. This is a flexible position tailored to suit the preferences of the ideal candidate, offering hourly-based work on Employment or Civil Contract.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and submission of the Yearly Financial Statement to NRA;
- Follows up the tax compliance of the local and oversees the accounting policy of the company;
- Ensures compliance with tax laws, including VAT, CIT, PIT, and others;
- Oversee Financial Management and Reporting;
- Provide analysis and forecast to assist Management in decision-making;
- Supervise Payroll processing;
- Coordinate with external and internal parties, during audits and ensure compliance with audit recommendations;
- Lead and mentor accounting team, ensuring they are well-trained and up-to-date on accounting practices and local regulations;
- Act as a liaison between the company and financial institutions, government agencies, and auditors;
- Supervise budgets and cash flow to ensure financial stability.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Proven expertise in Bulgarian and international accounting legislation;
- A proactive attitude toward staying updated on international financial regulations and standards;
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken;
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment;
- Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with accounting software and tools;
- Exceptional ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
